Every brain is
designed and configured when one is born in a unique manner. This inner
configuration is called the Inner Mind Map. This Inner Mind Map configuration
influences a person’s mental makeup and reveal the potentials and challenges in
a person’s functioning. Man is designed differently on the inside but has to
behave in an expected manner based on thinking, expectations of people and
society in the outside. This is the reason for a disparity between what we feel
we are and what we portray ourselves to be. The inner configuration influences
one’s perceptions and thereby is responsible for our unique experiences that form
our perspectives in life and also the way we think and behave.
Mind thus has the
ability to be static (inner configuration) and dynamic (external learning
experiences). The person’s mind-set is static so far as innate tendencies are
assessed, but is dynamic in the nature one perceives, understands and learns
things in life. The mind is hence instinctive and reactive on the inside and is
learnt and responsive on the outside.
The individual ability
and intention to change is called willpower. The energy that a person creates
to overcome the imbalance between the internal requirements and the external expectations
is called willpower. It can also be defined as the determination of a person to
become what one is not.
The mind has the
power to generate energy to learn, evolve, grow, maintain and to transform.
However, the mind cannot discriminate between what’s good and bad and hence
gets attracted to things that are useful or useless based on both the intrinsic
as well as extrinsic factors. This imbalance is responsible for one’s state of
happiness or misery.
Happiness of a
person is thus influenced by the disparity between the inner mind and the
expectations from the external world. Mind
becomes restless and unhappy when in a state of disequilibrium. The mind craves
for equilibrium and happiness which appears elusive. Man is constantly in
search of this state of equilibrium which is called happiness. Happiness is subjective, temporary, a state
of disequilibrium and is a state of deficit that has to be fulfilled. Since it
is the mind that influences the way we perceive our world and thereby
influences our vision of the world, life is hence all about self-understanding
and mastery of the mind.
Mind avenues is
passionate about bringing about its unique experience of learnings over the
past few decades onto a platform for everyone to experience. The assessment and
the self-mastery models are both unique as it touches on the subjective element
of the psychology of a person.
The Inner Mind
Map assessment tool helps reveal one’s true nature and the self-mastery model
helps one to face challenges in life but processing information in a cyclical
manner thus realigning and releases a person from being limited within oneself.
Both the inner mind map assessment and the ten step self-mastery model for behavioural
change and psychological growth are both the key factors for optimal brain mind
functioning.
